Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance variety earned her acclaim across a range of genres ranging from period drama to thriller and action adventure. Johansson daughter of an architect as well as a producer, was born within New York City. Hunter was the sister of Johansson was born in New York City. At the age of seven years old, her passion for acting had grown. She began to audition for commercials. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further hone her craft. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film in North (1994), produced by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson was later seen on screen in Just Cause, but she made her debut with Manny & Lo, a film about orphaned siblings who flee. The Horse Whisperer (2000) the film in which she played the role of a teenage girl who has a deformity because of an accident earned the film critical acclaim. In Ghost World 2001 (as the young, sarcastic teenager Rebecca) Johansson was awarded an even greater amount of attention. She performed with stunning grace in Wildflower and other plays. Renee Felice Smith began her career in the industry of entertainment at an early age. While she was still a young child Smith began to take an interest in the field of acting. Smith got her debut acting job at the young age of 6 with her parents' support. She was in a Dannon yogurt commercial. Like many other actresses starting out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theatre. In addition to other projects around the USA she also had her theatrical debut in Wildflower. She was a graduate of her Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
